Mechanical Circulatory Support for Complex High-risk Percutaneous Coronary Intervention

چکیده
Technological and procedural innovations presently permit the safe effective performance of increasingly complex percutaneous coronary interventions, while new mechanical circulatory support devices offer ventricular to patients with severely reduced left systolic function deranged cardiovascular hemodynamics. Together, these advances now application interventions higher-risk who might otherwise be untreated. Increasing observational data use in appropriate high-risk as part a larger multidisciplinary heart team treatment plan. In-progress upcoming randomized clinical trials may provide higher-quality evidence better guide management decisions near future.

Percutaneous circulatory assist devices for high-risk coronary intervention.
A unifying definition of what constitutes high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention remains elusive. This reflects the existence of several recognized patient, anatomic, and procedural characteristics that, when combined, can contribute to elevating risk. The relative inability to withstand the adverse hemodynamic sequelae of dysrhythmia, transient episodes of ischemia-reperfusion injury, or...
متن کاملA Practical Approach to Mechanical Circulatory Support in Patients Undergoing Percutaneous Coronary Intervention: An Interventional Perspective.
Percutaneous mechanical circulatory support has been used to stabilize patients in cardiogenic shock and provide hemodynamic support during high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions for several decades. The goal of this paper is to provide a practical approach to percutaneous mechanical circulatory support in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention with cardiogenic shock and/...
